The largest SQL Server conference of the year, PASS Summit 2015, has come and gone. This conference is the largest and highest-rated conference for SQL Server data professionals, and Heraflux is proud to have presented three sessions throughout the week of October 26th in Seattle, WA.
First, David Klee of Heraflux presented a full-day preconference training session with Argenis Fernandez of Pure Storage and Jimmy May from SanDisk entitled ‘The Complete Primer to SQL Server Virtualization‘. This session covered a full range of topics beginning at virtualization basics and progressing to cover advanced performance tuning topics that lasted the whole afternoon. Over 90 people were in attendance, and the feedback was very good.
Next, David participated in a panel session called ‘Is Independent Consulting for Me?‘ with John Sterrett, Brian Moran, and Ben DeBow. Feel free to contact any of us for our experiences if you are seriously considering taking the plunge to go independent as a consultant.
To round out the conference, David spoke with Ed Leighton-Dick in a fun session called ‘How to Build a Virtual Home Lab‘, where they talked about various methods to construct a virtual home lab for all situations and budgets.
We thank each and every person for attending our sessions, and look forward to contributing technical content next year at this conference!
Next year look for a special event from Heraflux for the Friday night after the conference wraps up!
